Joe Hughes, CTO of Wi-Manx presents the new kit

Wi-Manx Limited will be sponsoring Onchan Football Club for the next two years, beginning with the 2010/2011 football season. The funding has already secured a new football kit for Onchan’s first team and the sponsorship will also assist the club with their ambitious plans over the coming years including the purchase of new training equipment.

Formed in 1912 – Onchan Football is one of the oldest football clubs on the Island who are close to celebrating their centenary year. Since the introduction of several junior teams the club has seen itself grow from a small modest club – to one of the larger clubs on the Island. With over one hundred and fifty members, several FA qualified coaches and junior teams ranging from Under 7s to Seniors – the club is now a key part of the community.

A club of this size is heavily dependent on its members and also on the generosity of its sponsors. The assistance from Wi-Manx and our many other sponsors is greatly appreciated and enables us to continue meeting our members needs and providing much needed sports and leisure activities for the people of Onchan.
