ADSL is the ideal solution for businesses wanting a faster internet connection. ADSL is aimed
at businesses with between 1 and 5 PCs working in a home/small business environment.
ADSL can be used with Wi-Manx's VoIP solutions although we highly recommend your business utilises our wireless service in order to achieve better overall quality
and performance, especially when multiple simultaneous calls are expected. The 'Free Calls' VoIP packages are not available on Business ADSL connections. Users still have
access to the VoIP network but do not benefit from the free calls.
Wi-Manx offer two core broadband products, "Business Lite" and "Business Plus".
Business Lite
The Business Lite product is aimed at businesses with light internet usage who need a great value broadband internet connection. The Lite product is the entry-level
broadband product for business users.

The Plus product is aimed at businesses who would like a more robust internet connection that features a lower contention ratio. Business Plus customers will experience better performance
and a better overall quality of service when compared to the Lite product.

Technical Information
ADSL requires an analogue line to operate, this can be an existing phone or fax line - or if you prefer a dedicated phone line can be installed (subject to additional costs)
Business ADSL connections are provided as Wires-Only connections. A wires-only connection is when an engineer isn't required to install ADSL, you simply plug an ADSL filter into an existing phone socket.
Our business ADSL connections are provided with a single static IP address as standard. We can also provide 5 or 13 additional IP addresses subject to RIPE approval (Business Plus customers only).
Wi-Manx also offers a service where we supply, manage and monitor your internet connection and network equipment.
The contention ratio on Business Plus ADSL is 20:1 while Business Lite is 50:1.
